Farmer Platform Agreement

This agreement applies to Farmer accounts on The Shearing Board™ platform.

1. Your Farm Data

The operational data recorded at your property during shearing — including tally records, animal welfare logs, health and safety records, induction records, and compliance data — is your data. ShearCore™ Limited stores and processes it on your behalf to provide the service.

Your shearing contractor enters data on your behalf during shearing operations. You authorise this as part of using the platform.

2. Data Sharing — Your Choice

Your default setting is Anonymous sharing. This means aggregated compliance data from shearing at your property may be included in industry reporting, but no identifying information (farm name, property identification code, your name, or location) is ever included.

You can change your data sharing preference at any time on your farm record:

• Private — No data from your property is shared externally.
• Anonymous — Aggregated, de-identified metrics only. Your farm cannot be identified. (This is the default.)
• Identified — Full audit evidence packs can be shared with the assurance scheme bodies relevant to your property's certifications. Both you and your contractor must have Identified sharing enabled for this to apply.

To change your preference, log in to the Farmer Portal and update your farm settings, or ask your shearing contractor.

3. Assurance Schemes

If your property holds certifications under assurance schemes (such as ZQ, NZFAP, RWS, NWD, or similar), you can record those on your farm profile. This determines which compliance fields your contractor sees during shearing at your property.

If you enable Identified sharing, compliance evidence collected during shearing may be shared with the relevant scheme bodies to support your certification audits.

4. Your Privacy Rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (NZ users) or the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Australian users), you have the right to:

• — Access the personal information we hold about you
• — Request correction of inaccurate information
• — Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements

5. If Your Contractor Changes

Your farm data remains accessible to you through the Farmer Portal regardless of which contractor you work with. If you work with a new contractor on the platform, they will only see data for shearing they have performed at your property.

6. Data Export

You may request a full export of your farm's data at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

7. Access

Your access to the Farmer Portal is provided through your shearing contractor's account. If their account is suspended or cancelled, your access may be affected. Your data will be retained for 60 days following cancellation, during which you can request an export.

8. Platform Use

You agree to use the platform lawfully and only for its intended purpose. You must not attempt to copy, reverse engineer, or misuse any part of the platform.
